Tony Ploog

Hi there! I am

the owner & photographer of Ploog Photo Artwork. I’ve been fascinated with photography since I was young. I always loved getting pictures of my favorite race cars & drivers at the dirt tracks of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois.

I became involved in a race team in my early/mid 20's and have been a dirt track racing fan ever since.

In April of 2019, I bought my first digital camera, a Nikon D7200. I knew nothing about photography. F-stop, aperture, ISO was a foreign language to me but I wanted to take pictures of whatever I found interesting. I started by shooting some go-kart races, taking pictures of my dogs, plants & family members.

I have taken pictures at several different racing events in and around Arizona. I have shot Dirt Late Models at the Wild West Shootout and the XR Super Series in Las Vegas. I love taking pictures at the "local" tracks of Canyon Speedway Park, Adobe Mountain Speedway, & Central Arizona Speedway.

My wife, Christy, and I like to make weekend trips to shoot at Mohave Valley Raceway, Barona Speedway(California) and hopefully many more racetracks around the United States.

I am looking to branch out from just racing photos. I love aircraft, trains & awesome weather formations.
